Chinese Evergreen 'Crete'
Chinese Evergreens were first introduced in western Europe in 1885. Since then they have been cultivated, bred, and hybridized into a wide range of new and exotic-looking cultivars! The ‘Crete’ is no exception to this.
While some Aglaonemas have strips or creamy splashes marking their foliage, the ‘Crete’ has bright red splashes along with narrow oval-shaped green leaves. In addition to the strange variegation of the leaves the stems are a light pink hue. This plant makes for a dazzling display of colour!

To encourage thicker fuller foliage, gently pop out the flowers once they have emerged. Pinch the flower stem and gently pull upwards. This will remove the flower and encourage more foliage to grow.
Over saturating the soil will cause rotting of the roots and new growth.

Light
I like medium to moderate light. If my leaves are dark, they can handle more light, if they're light, I'll only be able to tolerate medium light.
Water
Keep my soil lightly moist constantly but be careful not to overwater me as my delicate roots are susceptible to rot.
Temperature
Keep me away from draughts and in temperatures of between 18 and 24°C.
Feeding
Please feed me diluted fertiliser once a month during the growing season.
Grooming
Dust my leaves off occasionally and pluck off any dry leaves.
Care
Although I can last in low humidity, I'll grow better in a humid environment so keep me somewhere warm and mist my leaves with a spray bottle.
