Citrus limon are evergreen trees that retain their foliage throughout the whole year.

Once they have grown big enough, you will start noticing a lovely sweet fragrance that will perfume the whole room!

Plant Care Tips: Lemon Tree

  • Place your lemon tree in full sun away from cold draughts. They like medium texture soil with slight acidity.

  • While the tree is establishing itself, it will need more water, maybe once or twice a week. The soil must be moist but not wet.. As it matures, it will not need as much hydration. Be careful to not overwater it to avoid root rot.
  • The ideal temperatures are between 23ºC and 30ºC. A little bit of humidity is also great. Keep it away from radiators.
  • During the growing season, use a nutrient-rich fertiliser to encourage healthy growth.

How tall does it grow?

Lemon trees can grow up to 20 feet tall and 10 to 15 feet wide. As a house plant in a pot, it has a similar effect as a bonsai, so it won’t reach much more than a couple of metres tall.
