The Silver Spider Plant Story
Where is it from?
The little succulent is native to South Africa
Who is the Silver Spider?
The Silver Spider is a small ground-dwelling stemless succulent. That branches outwards from its centre, looking like a piece of fossilised coral reef. One might think the little plant was a rock! It can be found growing in South Africa on rock cropping and desert cliffs.
Is the Silver Spider the right plant for me?
Easy to care for the silver spider does best with underwatering and lots of light! Because this is succulent, the root system is poorly adapted to fine nutrient-rich water-retaining soil. Make sure the soil is completely dried out or almost dry before watering.
In poorly lit areas, the Silver spider's stem will lose its silver colour and appear green and thin. The succulent requires bright direct sunlight and lots of it!
Location Suggestions: We suggest placing the little succulent anywhere with low humidity and bright light! The perfect location is in front of a southern facing window.
