This much sought after String of Pearls, possibly the most delicate succulent plant out there, has long spindly tendrils, lined with fleshy bead-like fronds.
Its little beads, which are actually leaves, look like pearls, hence the name!
These "Pearls" serve as water storage, an essential adaptation that they developed in order to thrive in arid regions where hydration is scarce.
Its long vines look particularly beautiful in higher positions or hanging containers creating a stunning visual display! And its unique forms and shapes inspire creativity and beauty anywhere.
These pearls produce Oxygen during the night! Making it one of the few plants that can oxygenate your space at night, promoting a restful sleep and making it ideal for your bedroom.
Keep me in a bright room but don't like me get much direct sun.
Water me well when soil is completely dry, but make sure I never sit in water. Ideally water at the bottom of the pot instead of the top of the soil.
Keep me above 13°C and keep me away from draughts and open windows. I will droop and loose pearls if it gets chilly.
Feed me once per month during growing season.
Keep away from children and animals.
Prune any straggly ends to keep me healthy.
To encourage growth, repot me every year or two into a slightly larger pot.
I am from Southwest Africa
I'm fast growing, and my tendrils could grow as long as 1m.
