Here at Bloombox Club, we have just about everything you need to get you ready for your journey! Have a browse at all the different ranges we have for your large indoor plants.

Basket Pots

After a more down-to-earth, rustic look for your indoor plants? Then our basket pot range is just for you. What’s even better is that they all come with PVC lining to protect the fabric from water damage and soil.

Available in a selection of three sizes, these baskets are great for mixing and matching all types of plants. For a more contemporary and modern look, the Weave basket is a match made in heaven. Looking for something a bit different? Then bring the ocean to you with this gorgeous hand-braided basket, made from 100% seagrass.

Keep in mind that it’s best to keep your plant in its growing container when shopping for a basket pot. When it’s time to water your plant, just take it out of its decorative pot and only return it when all excess water has drained off. That way you can keep your baskets in good condition for longer.

Ceramic Pots

Ceramic pots are all about colour. Dabbled, matte, shiny and textured, each pot complements your indoor plant in different ways.

Glazed Ceramic Pots

This is where the fun starts. Our glazed pots come in all sorts of colours and sizes, meaning there will always be something for you. Unlike unglazed pots, glazed pots are not porous and retain water.

Perfect for those who forget to water their plants as often. Indoor plants that prefer boggier soil conditions, such as spider plants and ferns, thrive better in these pots.

Unglazed Ceramic Pots

We stock two semi-unglazed large pots which look great indoors; the Sandstorm and Nebular pot. Equally beautiful, they are great for plants that thrive in drier conditions.

Due to their porous materials, unglazed pots are water absorbent and stimulate air movement around the roots. They dry out a lot faster than glazed pots, making them perfect for those who tend to overwater plants. Succulents and cacti are best-suited to these pots.

Food for Thought

One thing to bear in mind is that most of our indoor decorative pots don’t have drainage holes. To keep your plant healthy and happy, we always recommend keeping it in its growing container when placing it in a decorative pot.

That way, you can water your plant outside of the pot to allow all excess water to drain off properly. If you really want to plant it in the container, you can. Just make sure you don’t overwater and place some pebbles at the bottom of the container to help with drainage. This can also be helpful if your plant doesn’t quite fit into its pot!

FAQs

How to choose the right size pot?

Choosing a pot online can be tricky, and hunting for a large pot is no exception. How do you choose one when they all differ in depth, shape, and size? After all, you want your plant to be happy in its new home. Follow these steps and you’ll be set to go:

When selecting pots for larger plants, always go for one that’s 3 cm larger than the plants’ growing pot. That way, you can slide it in and out of the container without a struggle. Ensure that the decorative pot is 1 cm taller than your plant's growing pot, too. That way there’s room for fault just in case it doesn’t fit all the way down the pot.

If in doubt, check out our pot size guide!

What if my pot is too large for my plant?

Having a pot that’s too big for your plant is no issue at all. If anything, it means that your plant can live in it for many years! We understand that having a sunken looking plant might look a bit odd.

To fix this, try adding some decorative stones and fill the bottom until your plant sits at the right height. After, fill up the sides and place some at the top of the soil. And ta-da! You have yourself a very good looking plant.
