Bright indirect sunlight is preferable. It can tolerate some partial morning or evening sun, but avoid intense midday sun if possible.

Water it when the soil is starting to dry slightly at the top.

The ideal temperatures for its growth are between 18°C to 35°C. It can handle occasional dips in temperature down to around -2°C for short periods, especially if not accompanied by frost. However, prolonged exposure to freezing temperatures can damage the palm.
