Philodendron Cobra Care Guide
Light
Provide bright indirect or diffused lighting. This plant cannot tolerate direct sunlight or low light environments. A window that is frosted or that has a sheer curtain over it could provide the perfect lighting.
Water
Allow the soil to dry out almost completely before watering. We recommend bottom watering and checking the soil moisture level every seven to ten days.
Remember to drain excess water after watering.
Temperature
Average household temperatures from 18°C to 24°C are suitable. The higher the temperatures, the greater in watering frequency required.
Avoid Cold drafts or heating vents.
Feeding
Using a organic fertiliser that is formulated for tropical house plants. Apply according to the instructions every 3 - 4 weeks during the growing season, spring to Late Autumn.
Grooming
Soil: Select a well draining soil mixture that allows adequate drainage to occur and air flow. Cactus soil mix and per lite or moss mixed together would be suitable for this plant.
Propagation: Propagation is best done by stem cutting or air layering.
Repotting: Reporting should be done every 18 to 24 months. Select a pot that is 5cm larger in diameter.
Care
Cleaning Tip: Gently wipe the leaves and stem with a damp microfiber cloth. Or use a shower head to spray the leaves and stems down.
